While your baby does not care what you look like…
Thankfully, kids are programmed to think that you (daddy and mommy) are the most beautiful person there is, but that does not really mean other people agree. The worse part about having kids is the sleepless nights and days, looking like a panda. Good news is, sooner or later the little buggers will learn how to sleep on their own bed through the night.
Having said that, you still need to look your best at times, or at least learn how to fake it. Here are my 5 favorite beauty products to make life slightly easier to manage.
Laneige BB Cushion
The one I have is Natural Beige, but I got it from Malaysian Airlines a while back. With the extra refill, this thing can sure last because you only need a little. The cushion helps supply an even layer or cream onto your skin, however a little hard to clean.
This BB cushion is sweat- proof and oil free, and it boasts to last 12 hours. It also contains Optimal Mineral Water to help keep skin moisturized. Most importantly, it is SPF 50++ . High performance and long lasting, you basically need to pat on and go. It might not cover that black eye bags, that needs a good concealer, but it will make you look less tired.
Rene Furterer Complexe 5 Regenerating Plant Extract

I love my hair, it is my crowning glory! Well, my hair was pretty full and vibrant when I was pregnant, after giving birth, nightmare begins. Post natal fall of estrogen made my hair fall. ヽ༼ಥ_ಥ༽ノ
Suitable for once or twice a week use, good thing is this pre-treatment only needs five minutes to work. It boasts to tone the scalp and make hair stronger by stimulating micro-circulation via heat. Basically you apply before washing your hair. Not sure about you, but by the time I get ready to wash my hair, it is already more than 5 minutes, I still have hair though. So we are cool.
Clarins Extr
a-Firming Eye Lift Perfecting Serum

This beauty product might call itself an eye serum, but I still use it as a serum. It has horse chestnut extract and caffeine, plus a whole load of other beautifying ingredients. Sadly, the dark circles stubbornly remains, nothing can cure that except a week’s worth of sleep. But at least I did look less haggard, and this serum does fine lines really well, with its firming effect.
The only problem is, 15ml means that this bottle only lasted a month instead of the three months Clarin’s stuff usually last. I know that Clarin’s have creams with similar ingredients, but you cannot put them on your eye, which makes it an extra step in my regime.
Christian Dior Diorshow Buildable Volume Lash Extension Effect Mascara

I am a fussy mascara user, because I really want one that works well. This one is cool, it has this lash extending microfibers. If I need more volume, just give it a few more strokes; for day time or quick casual, a little less. Best part about using mascara is that I could get away with eyeliner by adding a few more strokes.
If you are really good at lining your eyes with a single flick, by all means. I am using mascara because I can never get my eyeliner’s to match on both eyes, it is easier for me to use mascara for a thin eyeliner look. Of course when I need more drama, I will still use eyeliner.
But when I am lazy, one beauty product less is less time needed to look good.
La Roche Posay Physiological Micellar Solution

There are many brands that have micellar lotion since the Bioderma days. I am just a fan of La Roche Posay, they do have pretty nice products. Like all products with Micelles, it is a gentle solution that cleanse the skin without stripping off natural oils. La Roche Posay and Avene’s solution has their thermal water added into it, which is an added benefit of antioxidants.
While I do like this brand, when I need to pinch pennies, I still go to Garnier’s, which is good as well. Micellar solutions are great when I have not been out all day. As far as beauty product goes, this one might be the most important one of all.
Clean skin = clean canvas right?

me too! life saver
I’ve only just started using micellar water on my skin actually and I must admit, I haven’t seen the benefits as yet. I don’t typically wear a lot of makeup unless I have to go somewhere with my fancy pants on, but I do like how it doesn’t redden or irritate my skin. I still need to cleanse afterwards to have that fresh feeling though. I luuuuuuvrve the lash extension mascaras, it’s really a must have especially for tired complexions and when you’re feeling a bit shit about yourself really. I couldn’t live without it! <3
then u might have to look for neutrogena’s micellar to foam! new formulation. Worth a try.
