I frequently lie to myself that “age is just a number”. But who am I kidding? Anti- aging is the key here, because I really loathe getting wrinkles, especially when my mom and auntie seem ageless back in Asia. I really envy their ability to look not like their age, and I hate it when people say: “You look like sisters!” when we are actually mother and daughter.
Not saying that my mom should look old and wrinkly, but I know I should not be the one looking old right? Hence I have been trying everything (almost) that seems reasonable in price, and does seems to have a positive effect.
My first favorite anti-aging product is…
1. Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Smooths Restores Corrects 30ml/1oz
Clinique boasts a 63% wrinkle improvement compared to a laser treatment, for a bottle of serum that is pretty good. I love how even with a twice daily use, the big bottle could last me three months. 3 months is enough time for people to start complementing.
The down side is, it is not a moisturizing serum so you might need to layer on something more hydrating after this.
2. L’Oreal New Revitalift Laser Precision Eyes Cream 15ml/0.5oz
L’Oreal’s Revitalift is a range of anti-aging products, but my favorite should be this eye cream. This one has a special applicator, it is basically dab dab dab. No rubbing and pulling. Anti- aging aside, this one can also firms up the skin and reduce those eye bags. My best friend during those owlish nights studying and gaming. Now, it is babies who doesn’t understand that people need to sleep at night. I only wish it gives a miracle, like making my eyes bigger.
3. StriVectin Ageless Essentials Kit
This Ageless Essentials Kit I got when I hit the big 3-0, the day I realize that wrinkles are going to catch up to me soon. You get 4 things with the kit:
- Advanced Retinol Concentrated Serum 7ml/0.25oz
- SD Advanced Intensive Concentrate For Wrinkles & Stretch Marks 30ml/1oz
- Advanced Retinol Night Treatment 33ml/1.1oz
- TL Advanced Tightening Neck Cream 7ml/0.25oz
As you can see by the whole list of anti-aging and pro tightening labels, this kit is hard core. What I like about this kit best is that it is a routine by itself, I didn’t have to hunt for other products. Not to mention they go well together.
4. Clarins Multi-Active Day Targets Fine Lines Antioxidant Day Cream – For All Skin Types 50ml/1.6oz
I was introduced to Clarins by a friend, who had good results. I was not really blown away by the results, but this fine lines day cream is a good start for younger people. The good thing about this anti- aging cream is that it is light, you can layer it on before makeup. Plus, if you like Clarins, they have good makeup foundation too! Unlike Clinque’s Repairwear, Clarins cream lasted 3 months for once a day application. Fortunately, this cream is okay in moisturizing, unless you have dry skin.
5. Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Eye-Brightening Concentrate 15ml/0.5oz
Even though this says eye, I used this Kiehl’s concentrate on my problem areas, around the nose and lips too. Needless to say, this 15mL wonder did not last as long as it should, but a month was enough to see some results for me. Kiehl’s is a brand with many interesting products, so far the anti-aging line is okay, but the best is actually the hydration line.
If you are into trying Kiehl’s you do have to give it around 2 months for it to really show you what it can do.
Anyways, do you think those anti-aging magic potion really works?
