CeraVe Vitamin C Serum

CeraVe Vitamin C Serum

Have you heard of the CeraVe Vitamin C Serum

I got this while shopping in a pharmacy with my mom one day, and I definitely got it at full price, because I was so excited to try it. First, I didn’t realize that it was a full priced item until I went to pay for it. Second, it’s worth it.

A little about the CeraVe brand:

The biggest draw card for the CeraVe brand’s products is that they contain the 3 essential ceramide. You can head to the CeraVe‘s website to get your questions answered. But in a nutshell, it is the fatty component of the skin, and this brand claims to have all 3 of the most important ones.

This is the brand that some doctors recommend, and most people are happy with. The price is mid to high range for a drug store brand, but you cannot fault the result. It is not extremely expensive, and they come in all shapes and sizes if you simply want to try something. Their moisturizing cream has 5 star reviews and over a hundred thousand reviews.

About the Vitamin C Serum

Well, Vitamin C is the reason I bought it. I used to use the Obagi serum, but it is expensive for the same 10%.

So at half the price, with hyaluronic acid and ceramide, I wanted to give it a go.

The box is double the size of the tube, which is not cool. But the tube is metal with a plastic cap. You have a narrow nozzle on the end, but I did not realize that until my 4th day. The tip will dispense a smaller amount.

The serum is smooth and spreads easily, but it takes a few minutes to absorb. I feel my skin more moisturized, so that is a plus. Letting it dry helps a lot with the moisturizer settling in after.

Result

Radiant skin and even skin tone is their claim. I am 1/3 way through the tube and I personally don’t find a lot of difference aside from the hydration. It has been crazy here with the weather. We would have one hot day and the next would be storms and winds.

If you are asking about hydration and moisture, this is top-notch! Only because the air’s been dry/ humid/ dry/ humid, and it is easier to notice.

Verdict

The CeraVe Vitamin C serum is not expensive, but it is not considered cheap either. I would say that it is a value for money. But you have to commit to finishing the serum once you pop the seal. Screw the cap tightly back after use, or the serum will turn from a whitish serum into an orange hue, which is a sign of oxidation and that’s not a good thing.
