The Day I Faked My Hair: Toppik Hair Review

Toppik Hair Building Fibers Review IMG_20180129_191847075

IMG_20180129_192304135How Interesting Right?

First of all, I did not buy this, I was given this as part of my trial team review. This Toppik is dark brown in colour, because my hair is not a full scale black in colour. I have been lamenting my hair loss post pregnancy, it is quite traumatising. So when this thing promises full hair instantly, what’s a girl gotta do?

So this bottle contains little fibres of hair, which you disperse into the hair line to cover up the bald spot.

It actually contains keratin, which is what our hair is made up of. Of course it would be synthetic, would be scary if they use real hair. Actually not scary but hey, I think it would cost a lot more than just a few bucks?

Does it work?

Kinda ~ I mean if you only have this bottle here, then the answer is really kind of yes. Because what wasn’t included, but would have helped a lot is the comb and spray applicator.

Proof!

Not bad right? For around 5 taps, you would get this result. Of course it wouldn’t stay on for long, unless you get the fibre hold. Kinda like saying give me more money! Not really impressed with their marketing strategy, though I totally understand that people might just want the hair fibre *eye roll*

Although this might not look like I have really bad hair loss, I’m just shy at showing you where it really is. hehehe

Here is a photo of it not working very well.

IMG_20180129_192514763Can you see me sighing in sadness? I really wanted this to work on the front. Girls, this is what tight ponytails can do to your hair. You start to lose hair from the corners.

Don’t tie them too tight, use a scrunchy and not a rubber band okay?

This is why I needed the comb/ spray applicator

From Store

At a lovely price of $25!

Not very happy at the moment. I guess I’ll have to use this at my side partings rather than front now.

Consider yourself warned.

  1. Same issue here. Loosing hair in the temple area, big ponytail wearer, and aging well into my 40s. Still, I have tons of hair, thick and curly. Can’t notice it when my hair is down – yet.
