This tiny sachet is a gift from a friend, and it comes in a single use packet. I like it in tiny sachets because the carbonated component in the mask will bubble the moment air touches it.
What you actually get when you buy Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask
Contents
It is a clay mask. The ingredient pack lists kaolin and bentonite, while the blackness comes from charcoal. It also has peppermint, lavender and green tea extract. But the fizziness comes from carbonated water, but I don’t know how they stop it from reacting.
They also add fragrance, because I doubt the extracts have a strong smell. Despite that, it is not overpowering (maybe because of the charcoal.)
My sample pic
Here is a very cool photo of how the clay bubbles up within a minute or two after I tear the sachet open. This is why I love this tiny sample size. I think if Elizavecca sells them this way at a slightly higher price, people would still buy them. Personal opinion only.
The greyish colour comes from the clay mask, the bubbles are actually tiny. They also feel fuzzy! The bubbles pop and tingles my skin in a fun way. If you are having a bad day, this might actually cheer you up.
I know I look stupid…
But the water in the clay will stop producing bubbles, and it is time to remove them. The instructions on Amazon (because I can’t read Korean) say to remove the bubbles before washing off with warm water.
My skin after does not look that different, but it feels cleaner. Maybe the bubbles are there to trick the mind into thinking: I am clean! Well, it does not feel softer or smoother, but clearer maybe? However, I exfoliate with the Toyo Cure Aqua Gel so this Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask may not be obviously effective?
Verdict
It is $13+ at Amazon, so it is not expensive for something fun. It can be like a funny sleepover mask session, or something to make you smile at the end of a long day. Even if the mask does not give you miracles, it can give your skin some nice cleansing for 15 minutes.
