Neutrogena Purifying Boost Hydrating Hydrogel Mask

I got mine from Woolworths, it was in the clearance bin for $3 each. For a brand like Neutrogena, $3 is a bargain. Mainly because the brand itself is not cheap, and it is hydrogel as well.

What it claims to do, is it can hydrate and refresh skin, containing seaweed extract. The hydrogel mask apparently holds 50% more essence than the normal paper type sheet mask, and can fit better.

What does it have?

The mask has colouring: blue and yellow, just a tinge to make it look obvious. The excess fluid itself is clear by the way. It contains Chrondus Crispus extract and shea butter. Plukenetia Volubilis Seed Oil ( sacha inchi) as anxioxidant.  Moringa Oleifera Seed Extract (funnily known as Drumstick tree). and fragrance…

Not that I noticed the fragrance, Neutrogena prides itself in being non- comedegenic and neutral, yet there’s fragrance.

How Does it Compare?

This is not my first hydrogel mask. I have used heaps such as snail gold mask  and Petite Gold EGF, (review links). This purifying hydrogel mask gets a “meh” from me. Mainly because it did not adhere to my skin well, the other ones stick or at least stay on well.

50% more product? I don’t think so… mainly because it didn’t feel that way. With the other hydrogel mask, I could feel at least something… like my skin is happy or hydrated.

Even if it is supposed to purify, the after effect was not much. Honestly. a little disappointed with this. I left it on indefinitely, using my silicone mask from Daiso to hold it in place.

Overall?

After using it, I don’t feel that the purifying mask did anything. Either that or there was nothing to purify? Like I said, I was disappointed, but I only bought one so it was a good test run. Though never coming back to it.

I do need new sheet masks though. .. my cache is running low =D

Update on my phone:

Got a Motorola Moto G6 in the end, for AUD$319.

You can get it from Amazon, especially if you want the Amazon Widget build into it. I have a love hate relationship with Good Ol’ Google. On one hand, it took me 20 minutes to set up the phone, because I backed everything up and it was just a case of restoring.

On the other hand… jesus how much information about me have you been storing dear Google? Everything! I mean browsing history, to whatever cache was transferred! I wanted an iphone, because the privacy issue, but settled on this one…. it is the only phone with 2 SIM slots and a SD card slot. Most phones have a dual sim standby, which means you can make it 2 sims or 1 sim and sd slot…

I needed 2 SIM and 1 slot, because kids and internet… they get expensive during travelling =D . So far I am happy with the functionality and the user- friendliness, but definitely wary of the information they have on me.
