Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Face Review
This one was a semi- reluctant purchase, but at $10 AUD, it is a half price deal that was probably worth buying. My Avene was running low, so I bought this. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from it. Remember from my review of the other Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF Fluid, that this brand does test on animals.

Ingredients for Sheer Zinc
Well, the most obvious one is zinc oxide, because of the name. The active sits at 21.6% weight per weight. The sunscreen also contains preservatives chlorphenesin and phenoxyethanol, hmmm… Anyway, you can see that this applies white from the tube.

But if you apply the correct amount (1 teaspoon) it will actually rub clear and pretty much invisible. Now you can apply your make up as per normal, just be prepared to await a minute for this to dry sheer.
It does dry sheer, probably because of the preservatives or other additives. The Sheer Zinc also dries matte enough for me, not as greasy shiny as the older generations. Apparently this is 2 hours water resistant, not waterproof. So this is not a sports lotion/ sunscreen, they do make sports version.
Another interesting note, this tube is actually made in USA.
Verdict
Why would I complain? It is only $10 for 50ml of product. Okay, I hate that creamy consistency when I apply it, and it does not smooth out as well as the Avene emulsion. But Avene costs three times more, so that is food for thought.
I shall have to move on with my search for my dream sunscreen. This can only get better right?
