I have been using No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Eye Cream for a while, since my work place Priceline sells it. No7 is a famous UK brand that has been around since 1935.
The eye cream has their special peptide Matrixyl 3000 plus to reduce lines and wrinkles. It also has Double Defence technology for antioxidant to prevent more wrinkles. The cream contains shea butter and hyaluronic acid moisturises the eye area. For better contour, they have ginseng extract.
Hence, this eye cream is to reduce wrinkles and makes the eyes look more awake and refreshed.
How it looks
The cream has a skin tone colour, using iron oxides as colouring. A small amount is all you need, because the shea butter smooths out easily. Any more will make it too oily. It takes a few moments to skin in, leaving no residue. I have been using this for over 2 months, so a 15ml tube of the No7 eye cream would probably last 3 months if you are careful with it.
All I do is pat or massage it in before putting other things on. I would say that the texture is creamy but settles in quickly so you can move on.
Verdict
Is it worth the $30 AUD? I think it is, because if I can use it for 3 months, that’s $10 a month for twice a day use. I know Olay Eyes is the same price, but I prefer the tube over the jar for hygiene reasons. It is easier to use too much of the cream when it comes in a jar.
The formulation is quite good, which is not surprising when a company has 87 years of skin care history. I can see why there is a big following. I am keen to try other products in the No7 skin care range. Since now I work for the pharmacy that sells it, I might be able to do just that.
