Patchology Moodmask Facial Sheet Masks

Get Dewy With It: Patchology damask

I got this Get Dewy With It in a Mecca Cosmetica Christmas box set. The Christmas box sits underneath the mask. Sorry about the slight blurriness of the photo, I’m a lousy photographer. The box has an Aboriginal art and a few items in it. On Mecca’s website, this mask is $7. Personally, I think the price is on the high side for one sheet mask, be we shall see.

What it contains:

The mask contains hiiki algae, rose of jericho, honey, and the beauty staple hyaluronic acid. It does not have parabens and phthalates, although it contains fragrance. Their website states is it for younger skin, but I want to disagree. I think it is suitable for dehydrated skin (which is pretty much most of us)

Patchology is designed in USA and made in Korea. The mask is PETA certified as cruelty-free; it is not 100% vegan.

The Look and Feel of Mega Moisture

I like the feel of the mask straightaway: it is lightweight despite the amount of serum sticking on it. It is so soaked through the paper itself seems transparent on my face. The recommendation is 10 minutes, and you know that I just leave it on for as long as I can. It dries out eventually after 30 minutes, but there’s residual moisture when I peeled it off.

Does it feel dewy?

Hell yes.

How long does it last for?

Not very long, I enjoyed around 12 hours of moisturised skin, which is pretty good for a store based brand. It is a high-end store brand, so 12 hours is probably the minimum expectation if I have to pay $7 for it. Brands like Garnier I can get for $3 on special, and that does not last long.

When should you use it then?

For daily use, cheaper brands like Garnier’s SkinActive mask is good enough. If you are going on a date and want to look good, then Get Dewy With It will keep your skin looking radiant and fresh for as long as you need. But for weddings and special occasions (like going to your ex’s wedding), you will need big guns like Lancome Genifique mask.

There is a difference, not only about how the skin glows; but also how long the glow lasts.
