I saw this at work, finally it had landed in my shop! You can get this online if you have to, but this is a new product in the Proactiv range. Well, the word “dissolving” caught my eye, because I have a really stubborn one that is really bugging me. This tube is 30ml, but it’s like AUD 30+, which can feel like it costs a lot for a tiny thing.

If you are wondering about the Jurlique Natural Antibacterial, it’s good for people with dry and sensitive skin. Mainly it has Australian Bush Mint and Safflower oil. If you find alcohol gel too drying, give this a go. Though it is around $20 to $25 for this pump size, can feel expensive but Jurlique is a great brand from Australia =D

What is in Proactive Blackhead Dissolving Gel

The main exfoliating component is salicylic acid and lactic acid. The gel also contains aloe vera and green tea with some soothing shea butter as well.IMG_20180728_175144132

How to Use

Massage a little bit (pea sized) on the face until the gel liquefies, which it does quite quickly. Then leave on for five minutes before rinsing off. With the acids, it is best not to leave it for more than the recommended 5 minutes, because it might strip the skin’s natural oil off too much.

Do you think it would work?

With the formulation and directions, I was kind of hoping that this might work. There have some positive reviews online, which was the main reason why I bought the Proactiv to try. As we know that the brand mainly focuses on people with acne problems, I had high hopes.

Well… it didn’t really get rid of the annoying blackhead on my nose. This stubborn one has been there for a while, and even this couldn’t get rid of the sunken black head.

Aside from that, after 5 uses, I do notice less whiteheads. With the pea sized amount, the tube does last a decent amount.  So hopefully costs less than $2 per application (we can hope)
