Ready For Halloween? Family Ideas

Ready For Halloween? Family Ideas

Halloween Ideas for Family (via Instagram)

I am not celebrating Halloween, it is not very big in Australia yet, so Happy Halloween to those who do celebrate it. As Nano will be starting in 48 hours or less, I am kind of happy not having to do any of these candy- collecting- caper. Does anyone remember what the real occasion is yet? I am sure that they will ask you about this right?

My Pinterest is refusing to embed, my suspicion is that my plugins are not liking it. Which is why this post is getting Instagram post, and I cannot actually see what is on my page until I post it up =.=. First up… my favorite picks if you like classics.

Lewis Carroll Will be Proud

Alice in Wonderland

We cannot go wrong with L Frank Baum

Oh course if you are not keen on these few choices, you can always go as Witches of West, East and your kids can be the flying monkeys.

In Wizard of Oz, you have many choices, even the munchkins are fair game during Halloween.

Then you have Star Wars

While they are wearing ore for those more popular characters, you could go off the series though. As Star Wars has a television series The Clone Wars, which as many other aliens you can play. The Props are semi- easy to find, and you can replay this theme until everyone is sick of it.

For the Lazy Ones: Shadow Hunters!

Yes! I know right? Why not dress up as Cassandra Clare’s Shadow Hunters? All you need is black black black, some plastic knives and more black. Look on the bright side, you can go and stab all the vampire and zombies that are prowling on the streets during All Hallow’s Eve.

So I am Terrible at This

Because I have not had to do this for 33 years of my life! Plus, I am not sure why you call it Halloween Dress Up, while you Cosplay for Anime Conventions and other Japanese events. Cosplay is short for Costume Play, where people dress up as favorite Japanese anime/ game characters.

Here is one good one, you might know this.

Misty from Pokemon.

Oh yes, missing scare factor, totally. Thank you for pointing out the issues with the pictures, hope it is fixed now >.<

  1. I think you’ve got a few of the photos mixed up Ailyn but LOVE the Wizard of Oz costumes. Look at that tiny Dorothy and Lion! We don’t celebrate Halloween at our house (with no kiddies) but always make sure we have snacks on hand for little ones around the area out enjoying dressing up.

    1. Probably I did, considering Insta and myself aren’t always on good terms
we had a bunch of kids roaming around today, but none of them turned up =(
on the plus side, the candies are mine now
