Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher (red)
I have here is the red color retoucher, but I can’t find it because it is that new! But if you are looking for brown, dark blonde or black, eBay has it. I have given this as part of a trial team at a website called Beautyheaven.com.au, it has a lot of good beauty related information if you are keen.
If you recall, I coloured my hair a while ago, in December for my brother’s wedding.
It is red, I swear!
Current State of My hair
The roots are growing at a pretty good rate, I took this photo while my hair was partially wet, because it shows the differences better. I haven’t been back to the hair salon at all since then, mainly because Australia can be an expensive place to retouch.
When the offer to try the Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher, I was interested. First of all, I was curious about the whole new root retoucher thing. Secondly, it couldn’t hurt to try something new. The bottle apparently holds approximately 25 applications, and it comes with a narrow nozzle. All you do, spray it evenly onto the hair, avoiding the line of course. There have been complains that it makes a mess, but so far I think if you use it carefully it’s fine.
They recommend that you put a dark coloured towel on the shoulders before spraying, because if you get it on clothes it might stain. It dries fairly quickly, like a ten or twenty seconds. As long as you wash your hands before it dries completely, it comes off quite easily.
Not bad right? I use two or three sprays to achieve the same shade of my hair. It is not easy to avoid the hair line, I suggest a careful approach. Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher boasts that the colour will stay until you wash it off, but I wasn’t keen to stain my pillow case, hence I wash my hair the same day.
I am happy to say that it washes off pretty easily.
Verdict
Should you think about Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher or any other brands? I don’t see why not, it may not be as cool as hair chalks or those hair mascara, but it works! If you need to look presentable but have no time to sit around, this might save you in a minute, although it is no permanent solution, still a decent quick fix.
